High school football recruit Gary Haynes is making national headlines after a video of the junior throwing a hail mary pass to himself went viral.
The Houston-area native plays both wide receiver, cornerback and kick return specialist for Manvel High School and has been lightly recruited. He racked up 52 catches for 876 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, leading his team to a 12-2 record and the 5A Division II Texas state quarterfinals.
The University of Houston has been the only FBS school to extend to a scholarship to him thus far, but that’s about to change once more scouts see the exceptional speed of this young man during the 2014-15 season.
