NBA Hall of Fame Inductees Announced for Class of 2015

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2015 inductees were announced Monday at a press event in Indianapolis.

This year’s list includes Coach John Calipari,  NBA All-Stars Spencer Haywood and Jo Jo White, WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie, and Dikembe Mutombo who finished his 18 year career as a Houston Rocket in 2009. 5 members were also directly selected by distinguished committees focused on preserving all areas from the game of basketball.

The 2015 inductees were announced in Indianapolis, the site of 2015 NCAA Final Four live on NBA TV, where John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, spoke of the inductees:

“We are honored to recognize the highly distinguished Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2015. They have contributed a great deal to the game we all love, as players, coaches, teachers, mentors and more. They have dedicated themselves to their craft and serve as an inspiration to many. We look forward to honoring each of these inductees during the Enshrinement festivities in September.”

The 2015 induction ceremony will be held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts on Friday, September 11. You can read the official NBA press release and complete list of inductees here.
