Apple Debuted The iPhone 13

Today Apple held another virtual event to introduce updates, improvements, and new models for the upcoming calendar year. The big-ticket this time? Apple debuted the iPhone 13 lineup with Mini, Pro, and Pro Max versions. They also provided much-needed updates to the standard iPad, the iPad mini, and the Apple Watch. Are these products going to cost an arm and a leg? Let’s find out!

The Standard Ipad

Apple Debuts The iPhone 13

After leaving it by the wayside for the better part of four years, Apple finally updates the base model of their iPad, one of their most popular products to date. The updated iPad now sports an A13 Bionic chip that brings a huge increase in performance. It has been fitted for a 12-megapixel, ultra-wide front camera with Apple’s ‘Center Stage’ video technology. The display has been buffed with a ‘True Tone display’, comes standard with 64 gigabytes of space (quite a small amount), and is available soon at the affordable starting price of $329.

The IPad Mini

The iPad mini also receives a huge production update, including a fan favorite Touch-ID on the power button. This version sports smaller bezels, newer colors, and ditches the lightning cable port for a USB-C connection. The screen has jumped up to an 8.3 inch LCD version, and the model also comes with an ultrawide Centerstage front camera and a new 12-megapixel rear camera. The iPad mini is available on September 24, 2021, at $499.

Apple Watch Series 7

Here is where the new announcements and updates begin to transition into similar products, in different packaging. The Apple Watch Series 7 contains minor upgrades considering the main shape of the watch remains the same. Differences include slightly thinner bezels, softer rounded edges, improved dust resistance, faster charging with the same battery, and 5 new colors. The Series 7 launches later this fall at $399.

iPhone 13 Series

The strong similarities continue with this year’s lineup of iPhone 13 phones. It doesn’t help that leaks of next year’s model were released just days before the event. The new models include a new camera layout as well as new colors. They sport a brighter XDR display, a new cinematic mode for video, and the A15 Bionic chip. The notch on the top of the phone is slightly smaller and the battery life has been slightly increased. The iPhone 13 Mini will launch at $699 and the regular size will launch at $899.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Max introduce slightly better specs than the previous year’s version, but again, a lot of similarities between the two. The Pro and Max models also have increased battery life, the A115 Bionic chip, new stainless steel colors, a 4K 30 fps ProResolution video mode, 120hz ProMotion display, and a Super XDR display compared to the XDR in the base model. The Pro and Max measure in at 6.1 and 6.7 inches respectively and will retail for $999 and $1099.

Did this Apple Event debut the phone you were waiting for? Will you finally upgrade your Ipad? Will you spend a rent payment on the iPhone 13 Pro Max? Those are all questions you must answer yourself.
