First Look: Cast of Fox’s “Gotham” Revealed

Fox has released official images of Gotham characters Alfred Pennyworth, Catwoman and The Penguin.

Sean Pertwee, who was in Elementary and Camelot, will portray the butler that Fox describes as “a tough-as-nails ex marine from East London who has loyally served the Wayne’s. Now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he’s fiercely protective of the young Bruce Wayne.”

Viewers should expect a more action packed Alfred than the version portrayed by Michael Caine in the Dark Night trilogy.

According to the official description, Camren Bicondova will play Selina Kyle, the future Catwoman, and is depicted as “a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.”

As for The Penguin, he will be portrayed by Robin Taylor and is described as a young man with “the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal, Oswald Cobblepot is a low-level psychopath who hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor.”

Gotham is centered on rookie detective Jim Gordon and GCPD veteran Harvey Bullock as the two work together to solve the double-homicide of local billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne.

Fox has yet to reveal a release date for the series, but have been generous with revealing photos as production continues on their Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Instgram pages.
