Neil Patrick Harris wants HIMYM to End

Neil Patrick Harris mentions that him and the rest of the cast of ‘How I met Your Mother’ wants the show to end.

With the premiere of season eight just a few days away Neil Patrick Harris ,who plays Barney Stinson, says that him and the rest of the cast are “anxious to move forward” after season eight. Harris says everyone’s contracts will end after season eight and doesn’t think they want to continue. Cobie Smulders, Jason Segel, Josh Radnor and Alyson Hannigan all have a lot going on lately. Cobie starred in The Avengers making a billion dollars at the box office while Jason is making a ton of movies. Josh is acting and directing while Neil said he wants to move to the East after the show.

The rest of the cast wouldn’t mind signing on for season nine, but would rather just move forward in their careers. “I think the only way I think a season nine or any longer would happen would be [if it were] financially right – that’s the reality of it. We love the show, we love doing it – eight years is a long time and we’re as happy a family as we’ve ever been.” Neil told Access Hollywood. Neil and the cast are ready for the show to reach its conclusion and find out who the mother is as fans have been enjoying the journey of Ted telling his children how he met their mother.

Season 8 premieres Monday September 24th 8/7c on CBS.
