If Tom Cruise had an excuse to go “full Oprah” on another talk show it would be the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle is a staple of his highly rated talk show, even spawning a Lip Sync Battle TV show which is produced by the late night host. The segment has featured everyone from Paul Rudd, Kevin Hart, and Emma Stone.

The Mission Impossible star stepped into the ring with Fallon and went off on renditions of The Weeknd’s “Cant Feel My Face” and Meat Loaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.” Fallon countered with The Rolling Stones “Undercover of the Night” and The Righteous Brothers “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” with a little help from Tom. The beauty of the duet was that it was one of the songs from Tom Cruise’s Top Gun. It was a lip sync battle full of nostalgic moments!

Cruise also teased Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” from his 1983 film Risky Business! Knowing the world would collapse from its pure awesomeness, Fallon pleaded Cruise to stop.

Tom Cruise was on The Tonight Show to promote the fifth entry in to the MI franchise, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. With action pieces that take it a step further in the franchise, and his lip sync performance, the film is sure to make bank around the globe.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is in theaters July 31st, 2015.
