BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Brenton Thwaites in this backstage interview to talk about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

In the interview, Thwaites shared how surreal it was to be a part of the series and how he was surfing in Hawaii when he first found out he was cast as Henry Turner. As for the three things the Australian actor would take with him on a pirate ship – watch the video below to find out!

The film’s synopsis:

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the evil Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters May 26th. For more from Thwaites, check out the full interview below!
