Rachel Weisz Talks ‘My Cousin Rachel’ & Working With Sam Claflin

The actress said that she knew nothing about the story before taking on the role of Rachel.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Rachel Weisz in this backstage interview to talk about the mystery romance, My Cousin Rachel, which is based upon the 1951 novel of the same name by Daphne du Maurier.

In the interview, Weisz shared how she never read the novel or watched the original film prior to taking the role of Rachel, what it was like to work with Sam Claflin and the where the movie was filmed!

The film’s synopsis:

A dark romance, MY COUSIN RACHEL tells the story of a young Englishman who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms.
