2014 Golden Globe Nominations Announced

The 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA) announced their nominees for the 2014 Golden Globes Thursday morning.  Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave and David O. Russell’s American Hustle lead the pack of nominees with seven nominations a piece.

Surprisingly, Showtime’s Homeland, AMC’s Mad Men and HBO’s Game of Thrones did not receive a single nomination.  Instead, the HFPA decided to nominate Netflix newcomer House of Cards with four nominations, and three a piece for AMC’s Breaking Bad and CBS’s The Good Wife.

The 71st annual Golden Globes will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on January 12, 2014. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the show for the second year in a row.
