Hugh Jackman Means “Show” Business In ‘The Greatest Showman’

“Nobody made a difference by being like everybody else.”

Those are the words of P.T. Barnum, the great showman that founded the Barnum & Bailey Circus. This Christmas, Hugh Jackman will look to razzle and dazzle audiences with The Greatest Showman, an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business through Barnum’s wild imagination.

If this first trailer is any indication, 20th Century Fox could have a winner on its hands, a surefire crowd-pleasing musical with original songs by the Academy Award winning lyricists of La La Land, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Michael Gracey makes his directing debut, working from a screenplay by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon (Beauty and the Beast, Dreamgirls). Joining Jackman are Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya (“Shake It Up!”, Spider-Man: Homecoming).
