A sequel to the horror film Lights Out is already in the works!

Lights Out, which hit theaters last Friday, grossed $21.6 million in its opening weekend, tying with Ghostbusters at No. 3 at the box office. New Line Cinema revealed that a sequel to the James-Wan produced film is already in development.

Plot and casting details have not yet been announced, but David F. Sandberg, who made his directorial debut with Lights Out, will be back to direct the second film. Eric Heisserer will also be returning to write the sequel.

Lights Out stars Teresa Palmer, Maria Bello, and Gabriel Bateman, and focuses on Palmer’s character having to fight a supernatural entity that has haunted her family and attached itself to her mother.
