Sacha Baron Cohen is best known for his outrageous antics in his characters Ali G, Borat and Bruno. Now The Dictator may top that list.
Cohen plays General Aldeen, a tyrannical maniac that leads a third-world African nation. Aldeen’s character mocks that of formers tyrants Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gadhafi.
The Dictator is directed by Larry Charles (Borat/Bruno) and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Anna Faris, John C. Reilly and Megan Fox.
The film is said to be inspired by Saddam Hussein’s novel Zabibah and the King and will be released in theaters May 11, 2012.
