Former Alexisonfire singer Dallas Green will be at the Austin City Limits Festival on Saturday, Sept 17th performing as his alias City and Colour.
It was reported that Dallas had recently left the Alexisonfire to focus solely on his new project.
This statement was released on Alexisonfire’s website:
“Almost a year ago, Dallas informed us he would be leaving after we finished our Old Crows/Young Cardinals tour cycle. Trying to balance his life between touring with us and at the same time quelling the success of City and Colour was a task too difficult to continue managing. He informed us he wanted to focus his efforts on City and Colour.”
Now he is doing just that. His latest album Little Hell, released on June 7th, sold over 20,000 copies and debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart.
“I’m just always aiming to become a better player and better songwriter, and this is the culmination of that at this point in time,” says Dallas. “I’m very proud of it, and that’s what’s most important to me.”
