Prince to Release Two New Albums

On Monday, it was announced that Prince will be releasing his first solo album in four years. His 33rd studio album, ART OFFICIAL AGE, is set to be released September 30. However, Prince will be releasing even more music as he will also be releasing an additional album the same day called PLECTRUMELECTRUM.

The singer recorded PLECTRUMELECTRUM with 3rdEyeGirl, an all-female band. The members of the band, Hannah Ford, Donna Grantis and Ida Nielsen, appeared on Good Morning America Monday to announce Prince’s upcoming albums. The band has been touring with Prince across Europe in the past year.

Both albums will be released through Warner Bros. Prince was previously in a feud with Warner Bros. over the rights to his music when he was signed to the label from 1976-1996, but both parties reached a new deal in April.

ART OFFICIAL AGE and PLECTRUMELECTRUM are currently available for pre-order at ArtOfficialAge.com.
