The Kingston Springs At ACL

Every year at ACL there is a band we really enjoy spending the 3 days of coverage with.

This year the award goes to The Kingston Springs.

You NEED to know this band.

The Kingston Springs described their experience at ACL like this-

After a wildly successful trip to Austin, TX for the 2011 Austin City Limits Festival, The Kingston Springs from Nashville, TN have plenty of great press, photos (and stories) to show for it. The Kingston Springs played on the BMI Stage on Saturday, September 17th to thousands of festival goers at 12:30pm. Despite their early time slot, the attendance at their stage was outstanding, thanks to preemptive nods from the press, including The Huffington Post, who recommended their set over indie rock titans, The Antlers, and commercial kings, Aloe Blacc, who played at the same time on different stages. Other festival highlights include being shadowed by the ACL Official Youtube Channel on The Kingston Springs’ way to the Honda stage for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.’s set, who they previously buddied up with and made a cheerleading pyramid with backstage (hilarious photo below, taken by Nancy Zott, Daniel Zott of DEJJ’s wife). On the road back to Nashville from ACL, The Kingston Springs shared the bill at The Hi-Tone Cafe in Memphis with J. Roddy Walston & the Business (photo below).

Another fun photo of the band with Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr (who doesn’t love a cheerleader pyramid?)

BackstageOL caught up with the guys at ACL. It’s a fun interview.
