Over a dozen famous A-list celebrities, including First Lady Michelle Obama, have recently been hacked and had their personal financial information exposed.
The hacking group, formerly based out of Russia, is leaking personal financial information online through a process called “doxxing.” Social security information along with credit card numbers, bank account information and car loans have all been exposed from the recent attacks.
The website that is targeting celebrities was originally shut down but is now back online and running in a new location. The new site is now reported to be based on the French island of Réunion, located off the coast of Madagascar.
Angelina Jolie, Lady Gaga, Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Dennis Rodman, Michael Vick, Robert DeNiro and even Secret Service Director Julia Pierson have all had their financial information leaked in the most recent attack.
Other stars who have been hacked in previous attacks include Mel Gibson, Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher, Hillary Clinton, Kim Kardashian, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Donald Trump, Kanye West, Mitt Romney, and Tiger Woods.
The FBI is currently investigating the recent attacks. No arrests have yet been made.
