‘Ghost Recon: Future Solider’ Gets Delayed Till May

Expected to be released May 22nd

Ubisoft announced today that their upcoming first-person shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is being delayed until May 22 in North America.

This is not the first time the game has been delayed.  The game was first teased in January 2009 for a first-quarter 2010 release but was further delayed to a late 2010 launch.  Since 2010, the game has been rescheduled twice; once from an early 2011 release to  March 2012 and then again from March 2012 to May 22, 2012.

“Today we are feature complete in our multi-player, single-player and four-player co-op campaign modes. We have made the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience.  The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal,” said Adrian Lacey, IP development director at Ubisoft Studios France.

Lacey announced, “We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks.”
