The first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated Anchorman sequel has been released by Paramount Pictures. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Christina Applegate will all reprise their roles in Anchorman 2 after a nine year hiatus.
Set in New York City during the 1980s, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues follows Ron Burgundy and his crew as they try to revitalize their careers with a new 24 hour news channel. The hilarious trailer introduces us to Brick’s wife (Kristen Wiig) while a possible relation between Megan Good and Ron Burgundy could be in the works. Yes, even Baxter is in the trailer!
The upcoming sequel was written by Will Ferrell and long-time collaborator, director Adam McKay. McKay also wrote and directed 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy as well as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers and The Other Guys.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues opens in theaters on Friday, December 20th.
