High School Musical star Ashely Tisdale will have one of the leading roles in Scary Movie 5.
According to Complex Magazine the movie will be a parody of the 2010 Academy Award winnin film Black Swan. The last Scary Movie film, released in 2006, was a big winner at the box office, pulling in $178 million globally on a $45 million budget.
Malcolm Lee is hired to direct, replacing David Zucker who directed the last two. The film’s release date is currently set for January 11, 2013.
It has been mentioned that Anna Farris may not return for the franchise’s fifth film.
