‘Austin Powers’ Star Charged with Murder, Could Receive Death Penalty

Joe Son, former MMA fighter and the man who portrayed shoe throwing villain Random Tasks in the Austin Powers films, has been charged with the murder of his cellmate.  Prosecutors are considering the death penalty.

Thomas Graham, the cellmate of Son, was serving a two year sentence for failing to register as a sex offender.  Graham had previously been convicted for committing lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14.

Son allegedly used a combination of MMA styled punches and kicks to murder his 50-year-old cellmate back in 2011.  Prosecutors will consider the brutality of the murder on whether or not they should pursue the death penalty.

The 42-year-old actor is already serving 15 years to life after pleading guilty to rape, kidnapping and other charges.
