Steven Spielberg Might Make The Next Bin Laden Movie

DreamWorks Studios and Steven Spielberg may possibly make the next movie about the death of terrorist Osama Bin Laden based on the book No Easy Day.

Since Bin Laden’s assassination by the Navy Seals, movies like Kathryn Bigelow’s ZERO DARK THIRTY and John Stockwell’s CODE NAME GEONIMO are big right now in Hollywood about the take down of Osama Bin Laden. The New York Post mentioned that DreamWorks Studios and movie director Steven Spielberg are very interested in adapting the soon-to-be published book No Easy Day.

No Easy Day is a non-fiction book written by Navy SEAL Matt Bissonette who was on SEAL Team Six that help take down Bin Laden last year. The book is suppose to be published and in stores by September 11th, but the book is facing some serious legal issues due to the fact that Bissonette disclosed top secret information about his job in the book. Needless to say this book must be packed with awesome details. On that note any subsequent movie adaptations may be in jeopardy. Bissonette showcased his story to both HBO and DreamWorks, but its seems talks have begun with DreamWorks.  “He is still talking to DreamWorks and Spielberg” says a source.

As for Steven Spielberg, his plate seems pretty full right now since he has been planning to make ROBOPOCALYPSE. It is not certain yet if Spielberg would taken on the role of directing it or producing the movie. If Spielberg decides to take on and direct the Bin Laden movie after ROBOPOCALYPSE production wraps up, we may not be seeing this movie until early 2014.
