Teen Choice Awards 2013: List of Winners

Hosted by Glee star Darren Criss and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, the 2013 Teen Choice Awards kicked off with One Direction performing their new hit single “Best Song Ever”.

The most memorable event of the night was Glee star Lea Michele making her first public appearance since the death of boyfriend Cory Monteith. Michele took the stage to accept the Choice TV Actress: Comedy award where she paid tribute to Monteith.

“Thank you guys, thank you. I just wanted to be here today to personally thank you all and tell everyone out there how much your love and support has meant to me over these very difficult past few weeks,” the 26-year-old actress said. “Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world.”

Furthermore, Michele recounted her love and grief for Monteith.

“I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we’re going to get through this together,” she added. “He was very special to me and also to the world. We were lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart. So whether you knew him personally of just as Finn Hudson [on “Glee”], Cory reached out and he became part of all of our hearts and that’s where he will stay forever. So thank you guys so much. Thank you.”

As for the rest of the star studded ceremony, the musical comedy Pitch Perfect took home the Best Comedy Award as well as its stars Rebel Willison and Skylar Astin winning Choice Actress and Actor awards.

A jokingly Ashton Kutcher took home the Ultimate Choice Award where during his acceptance speech he joked that he was honored to be taking home the “old guy award” and admitted that his real name is Chris.

Miley Cyrus’ new hit single “We Can’t Stop” earned her the award for Choice Summer Song, and The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons took home the award for Choice TV Actor.

Lastly, fans swooned over Kevin Jonas’s wife, Danielle Jonas, who showed off a baby bump as the couple is expecting their first child.
