Vin Diesel revealed on his personal Facebook that he met with Marvel on June 10th, hinting that a potential role might be in store for him in Joss Whedon’s superhero sequel The Avengers 2.
The post on Diesel’s Facebook page reads, “Marvel meeting today, only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!”
While Diesel didn’t mention which role he’s being considered for, there are few clues within a photo posted on his Facebook, pictured above, which shows the actor next to a vintage The Avengers comic book cover.
Even though Diesel may be a potential candidate for a role in The Avengers 2, Marvel is currently working on several other major film projects that may feature other roles as well. These films include Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and a new superhero ensemble Guardians Of The Galaxy.
The Avengers 2 is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015.
