CMA Awards 2013 Nominations Revealed

It’s that time of year again, guys. The world’s favorite country artists are gathering under a single roof for the awards ceremony of the year. Sheryl Crow and Florida-Georgia Line announced the nominees for the 47th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards on “Good Morning America” this morning (Sept. 10) and country music lovers couldn’t be more excited!

It’s no surprise that Taylor Swift topped the list of nominees, earning an impressive six nominations. The singer is competing for awards such as Female Vocalist of the Year against names like Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves, who also racked up six nominations this year. Blake Shelton received five nominations including Male Vocalist of the Year, which he’ll be competing against Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Keith Urban for. Miranda Lambert received three nominations as a solo artist and another two with her band the Pistol Annies. The competition is heavy, guys!

The stars up for the big award of the night – Entertainer of the Year – are Taylor, Blake, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and George Strait. Swift took home the Entertainer of the Year trophy at last year’s event. Let’s see if the singer can clench two consecutive Entertainer of the Year victories.
