HOUSTON – After a successful world tour that spanned 2010 and 2011, Iron Maiden will return to the road beginning in June with a North American tour that will end in the Houston area in August.

The Maiden England tour starts June 21 in Charlotte, N.C. and will feature two special guest acts. From June 21 until July 21, Alice Cooper will accompany Iron Maiden, while Coheed and Cambria will join the tour from July 22 until Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.
Other Texas concerts include Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio and Friday, Aug. 17 at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas.

The Maiden England tour, which will continue into 2013 with additional stops around the world, will pay homage to the 1988 concert video of the same name.
Tickets for most of the North American tour dates will be sold beginning on March 3.

“We have great fun playing the history of Maiden Tours because it gives us an opportunity between new albums to go out and play songs from our earlier catalog. It’s always fantastic seeing the crowd reaction from a new generation of fans who have never experienced some of these tracks performed live before, and of course we know our longstanding fans will enjoy seeing the original Seventh Son Tour re-visited – with many other surprises!,” said Iron Maiden lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson.

Cooper, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, released the CD “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” the same year, a sequel to the 1975 album “Welcome to My Nightmare.”

Coheed and Cambria has overcome the legal problems that plagued former bassist Michael Todd and is preparing to release a new CD in the summer of 2012.
