The Doors founding member Ray Manzarek has passed at the age of 74. Manzarek co-founded the legendary rock band with Jim Morrison in 1965. He was the keyboard player for the iconic group.
Official word about Manzarek’s death came from the band’s official Facebook page which said he passed away today at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim, Germany after a lengthy battle with bile duct cancer.
Manzarek was surrounded by his wife Dorothy Manzarek, and his brothers Rick and James Manzarek.
