The Original Backstreet Boys Reuniting For NYC Show, New Album

Kevin Richardson is rejoining the Backstreet Boys following his 2006 departure. With the addition of Richardson, the reunited group will return with a Central Park show on Aug. 31.

“The vibe is fantastic,” said member Nick Carter. “It’s revitalized and we’re having so much fun.”

The band is working on a follow-up to 2009’s “This Is Us,” which will include Richardson. Their eight studio album is due in spring 2013, to help celebrate the bands 20-year-anniversary. They are currently working in a London studio with producer Martin Terefe (Mary J. Blige, Javier Colon).
