Family Guy’s beloved dog Brian is alive after all.
A few weeks ago, the character was killed off after being hit by a car, shocking and angering many fans of the show. However, on the show’s Christmas episode that aired Sunday night, Brian returned to life, thanks to Stewie’s Christmas wish to go back in time to save his dog.
While visiting Santa Claus at the mall Stewie asked for only one thing, “I want my friend back. My best friend, my dog, Brian; he’s dead. It’s our first Christmas without him and no one has even mentioned his name.”
Stewie then saw a past version of himself at the mall, who had a gadget to use Stewie’s old time machine. He then transported himself back in time to the scene of the car accident. This time, he managed to push Brian out of the way just before he was hit.
After the episode ended, the show’s creator Seth MacFarlane tweeted, “And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash.” He later added, “I mean, you didn’t really think we’d kill off Brian, did you? Jesus, we’d have to be f—ing high.”
