USA Network is looking to bring a new spin to the character of Zorro in a series simply titled ‘Z’.
‘Z’ ,like the trademark slash the hero leaves behind, is about a modern day retelling of Zorro’s origins and ongoing battles against evil and corruption.
According to Variety, the project is currently in development from executive producer Naren Shankar (Grimm) and Louis Leterrier (Transporter 1 & 2).
It is not final yet if USA Network will pick up the show, but they are currently doing what is known as a script-to-series order at the moment.
The idea of ‘Z’ would take place in modern LA , with Zorro being a hero in the city who had a difficult childhood to strengthen him in later on in his adult life.
