The film adaptation of the hit video game franchise Uncharted finally released its first trailer, giving a first look at Tom Holland as adventurer Nathan Drake.
Uncharted is a Naughty Dog title that spans over four video games and an expansion involving a character from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Each entry in the franchise has sold millions of copies with Uncharted 4 atop them all with over 15 million copies sold. The series is one of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s most successful franchises ever, consistently notching the status of being among Playstation’s “Greatest Hits.”
The film adaptation is one that’s been in development for many years now. It initially entered development in 2008 and ran through a number of directors and actors before Holland’s official casting in 2017. Joining Holland in this origin story will be Mark Whalberg as Victor “Sully” Sullivan, Sophia Taylor Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas.
Uncharted will be released in theaters on Feb. 18, 2022.
