Patch 4.3 will be the second-to-last patch before “World of Warcraft” embarks on a new expansion.
Touted as the largest content update since “Cataclysm’s” launch, the new patch will bring the expansion pack’s story to a close and bring in a host of new features.
Game Director Tom Chilton talked with Joystiq about what end-game adventurers should expect:
— Three 5-man instances dealing with a “What if?” moment if Deathwing won, reclaiming the Dragon Soul artifact and escorting Thrall to Wyrmwrest Temple.
— The Final raid instance will pit players against six bosses and finally Deathwing. Players will chase the dragon across Azeroth until a final showdown in the middle of the Maelstrom.
— Transmogrification allows players to change the appearance of their gear. If players have older armor pieces or gear, they can change their existing gear to look the former.
