The Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell produced remake of Evil Dead, directed and co-written by Fede Alvarez (“Panic Attack!”) grossed $26 million over the weekend. Beating all the other films, the highly anticipated horror remake had been hyped up for months. The film didn’t disappoint by box office numbers, bringing in horror fans galore.
The Jurassic Park 3D re-release made over $18 million, bringing its total gross to $375 million. Oz the Great and Powerful, in seventh place, has made $213 million in total at the box office (directed by Sam Raimi, co-starring Bruce Campbell).
