Ariana Grande is knocking out massive accomplishments at the beginning of her music career. The new superstar is definitely dominating pop music right now. Grande’s success kicked off back in March with the release of her catchy breakout single “The Way” featuring rapper Mac Miller, which dominated airwaves throughout the summer. “The Way” debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and grabbed the No.1 spot on iTunes Overall Songs Chart. “The Way” is now certified double platinum by the RIAA.
The 20-year-old’s success continues this week, with the release of her first full-length album, Yours Truly. Grande’s new album raged to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday (Sept. 11), selling 138,000 copies during its release week. In addition, Yours Truly managed to debut in the No. 1 spot on iTunes Overall Albums Chart and the Digital Albums Chart. She is the first female artist in more than three years to reach No. 1 with a debut release, the last being Ke$ha’s Animal back in January 2010.
As Yours Truly climbs the charts, Grande premiered the music video for her album’s latest single “Baby I”. The video made its debut online last Friday and has already racked up over 4.4 million views on YouTube and VEVO. Check out the video below!
