Throwback Thursday: This Day in Music

1966

The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson recorded the classic song “Good Vibrations”, which went on to become the band’s third US No.1 hit. When Wilson was a child, his mother told him that dogs sometimes bark at people in response to their “bad vibrations.” Fascinated by the concept, he turned this into the general idea for the song.
