‘American Idol’ Hollywood Auditions Group Round Begins

HOUSTON –  The first two days of auditions during the Hollywood round of “American Idol” ended with singer Symone Zaire Black falling forward from the stage and onto the floor below. She was taken to a hospital and released the next day only to return to the auditions where she, along with the other singers, had to find compatible members to form an audition group.

Judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez continued to eliminate more singers from the competition.
Many of the groups were plagued by members with colds and flu.

Heejun Han and Johnny Keyser were among the stellar performers who survived their auditions while Heejun Han while Jane Carrey, daughter of comedic actor Jim Carrey, was one of the casualties.
