• Chris Rene, a top three finalist from “The X Factor,” releases a newly-produced studio version of “Young Homie,” a song he wrote and performed as an audition for the competition show.
• The Wanted will perform live on the April 5 episode of “American Idol.”
• New Edition will perform Sunday, April 1 at Reliant Arena. Bobby Brown, who was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in late March, is scheduled to join the band.
• Fresh off a performance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Big Time Rush will be on stage at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion on July 13.
• Actor Wes Brown from “True Blood,” country singer Allen Duhon, and Erica Rose from “The Bachelor” and “Bachelor Pad” will be among the special guests at A Red Carpet Party, which benefits the Rose Ribbon Foundation. The party takes place Friday, March 30 at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Houston Galleria and among the hosts will be FOX 26 reporter Ruben Dominguez and Dave Morales from BackstageOL.com. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a 9 p.m. afterparty at the Deborah Colton Gallery on 2445 North Boulevard in southwest Houston.
