Wendy Williams Talk Show Items Going to Smithsonian

Wendy Williams has become the first talk-show host to donate items to the Smithsonian.

During a special episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” Williams donated memorable objects from her talk show, including the dress and shoes she wore for the show’s first photo shoot, the pink, bedazzled “Ask Wendy” microphone, a light-up “diva fan” with her signature catchphrase “How you doin’?,” and other items to the National Museum of American History.

“I’m thrilled to bits that one of America’s most revered institutions – that I went to as a child! – deems me worthy enough to preserve this little bit of history for everyone to share,” said Williams. “This is such an amazing honor. I’m not sure anything in my life has ever compared to it.”

Williams’ diva items are now part of a growing collection of entertainment items at the Smithsonian Institution.
